Returns that restock the right number, once
Scan returns back in, log why they came back, and restock only the sellable units into Shopify. Clicking twice never double-counts.
Received isn't the same as resellable
Three units come back, and one is damaged. Most quick restocks put all three back into stock, and the damaged one gets sold again. Pickadoodl keeps two numbers on every line: Received (what physically came back) and To restock (what you can sell again).
How it works
- Open Returns and choose Receive a return. Scan or search the items.
- Pick a reason for each: wrong item, damaged or defective, not as described, doesn't fit, changed mind, arrived too late, or other. Add detail if you want.
- Set To restock, choose the location, and click Restock. Only units not already restocked are sent to Shopify, and every restock is listed in the return's history.
See what keeps coming back
Return insights summarizes what came back over a date range by reason, product and variant, with CSV export. A product that keeps coming back as "not as described" is a listing problem you can fix. The Return received trigger in Shopify Flow lets you start any automation from a completed return.
Questions
Can a return be restocked twice by mistake?
No. Only units that haven't been restocked yet are sent, so clicking Restock twice never double-counts.
Does Pickadoodl create return labels or refunds?
No. It handles receiving and restocking. Return labels and refunds stay in Shopify or your shipping tool.
Can I undo a restock?
Not from Pickadoodl. Correct the inventory in Shopify, and the return's history shows exactly what was sent.
