The work board
How Pickadoodl's work board groups every moving batch by stage, from picking to complete, and flags batches that are stalled or need follow-up.
The top of the Batches page is a work board: every batch that is still moving, grouped by where it is. Lanes are Picking, Ready to pack, Packing, Packed, and Shipping (if you use shipping labels), plus Needs follow-up and Complete. The numbers across the top are how many batches sit in each. Each row shows progress, age, how long it has been idle, flags, ship-by risk, and a button for the next step, such as "Resume picking (12 of 40)", "Start packing", or "Review and fulfill".
- Needs attention filters the board to batches that are flagged, stalled, or have orders to retry or resolve.
- Stalled means a batch in picking, ready to pack, or packing has not changed in 4 hours. It is the same rule the alert digest uses.
- Needs follow-up holds batches that were only partly fulfilled: some orders failed in Shopify or were held back as exceptions. They stay here, however old, until you retry or resolve them.
- Complete shows fully fulfilled batches for 7 days. Older ones remain in Recent and in Reports.
Within a lane, batches past their ship-by date come first, then ones due soon, then the oldest. The board refreshes itself every 30 seconds while the page is open. Show more loads the next 25 in a lane.
